The Spirit of Secret Santa

Get Your Shopping List from Transition House
I am not a shopper, but I am having the best time ever. I contacted Nicole at Transition House and she provided me with a wish list of gifts for a single mom and her four sons (ages 5-14). It's like I'm on a scavenger hunt. I was a woman on a mission and I hit the streets armed with my list.
Store personnel are only too happy to pick out just the right flannel shirt and skinny jeans. The most fun was tracking down a pair of black and gray Vans in size 3.5 for the 8-year-old. His brothers will all be wearing new black Converse low-top sneakers.
I have friends working their way through their lists, and on Sunday I came across six high school girls with their two lists. The lists are specific, so it makes the shopping very easy.
Lots of Local Nonprofits Need Your Help
There are many other options to become involved during the holidays, such as Unity Shoppe, Toys for Tots or the FoodBank to name just a few. Do something. I guarantee it will get you in the holiday spirit, and it's a meaningful wayto help others. Happy Holidays!
